Promptchan is a web-based AI generator for adult images that also makes short video clips. Per the vendor, it can create video from a text prompt or animate an image you generated on the site. It suits adults who are willing to pay for its top plan to get video.
We have not run our own clip test on Promptchan yet. Everything below comes from the vendor’s published pages, accessed on October 31, 2026.
What the video feature does
Promptchan’s video tutorial describes two ways to start a clip. Text-to-video works with “no image required.” Image-to-video starts from an image you generate on Promptchan, and then you tap “Animate.”
An “Extend” option lets you make a clip longer than the first render. The tutorial does not describe animating a photo you upload yourself, so we do not assume that is possible.
The tutorial lists these settings and limits:
- Quality: “Standard” or a higher top setting.
- Orientation: portrait, wide or square.
- Maximum length: not stated.
- Resolution: not stated.
- Plan: video is limited to Pro.
Promptchan runs in a web browser. An iOS listing showed up in search results, but the link returned a 404 error, so we treat it as unverified. An Android app is not mentioned.
Pricing and what one clip costs
Promptchan’s upgrade page lists monthly plans. Each plan comes with a monthly allowance of Gems, the credits the site spends on generation.

Promptchan does not publish a fixed Gem cost per clip. The tutorial only says a video takes “a handful of gems,” which is not a number you can budget with.
That means the real cost of one clip on Pro is unknown until someone measures it. Annual pricing is also not stated on the pages we read.

Billing, cancelling and refunds
Promptchan accepts card payment through a “Buy with Card” option, plus crypto and G2A. Crypto and G2A purchases are sold as fixed periods.
You cancel a subscription in your account settings. Promptchan does not state what name appears on your card statement.
The refund policy allows refunds within 30 days if your usage was not significant. Crypto payments are non-refundable.
The policy leaves room for judgment about what counts as significant use. If a refund matters to you, ask support before you generate much.
The terms of service name VisionAI Labs Limited of Dublin, Ireland, as the operator. Irish law governs the terms.
Real-person likeness, minors and age checks
Promptchan’s terms of service say “non-consensual deepfake pornography is strictly prohibited and will result in account termination.” Depicting a real person requires “explicit and verifiable consent,” per the same terms.
The content moderation policy says automated AI scanning covers “prompts, outputs, and uploads.” Human moderators review content after that automated layer.
The terms require users to be 18 or older. Age is self-declared, and the terms do not describe any verification method.

Who it suits and who should skip it
- Suits adults who want text-to-video and image-to-video in one web app and will pay for Pro.
- Suits people who mainly want to animate images they made on Promptchan, not their own photos.
- Skip it if you want video on a cheaper plan. Plus and Premium do not include it.
- Skip it if you need a published cost per clip before you subscribe.
- Skip it if you need a confirmed native mobile app. Only the web version is verified.
What our clip test will check
Our clip test for Promptchan is scheduled, not done. It will use the same steps as every other app, as set out in our methodology.
- The same non-explicit start frame of a fictional adult, made in Prompt Lab, with the same prompt.
- A 5-second clip from each app.
- Face consistency from the first frame to the last.
- Motion quality and visible artifacts.
- Refusals across a set of 10 prompts.
- The real price per clip on the cheapest plan with video, which is Pro here.
Promptchan does not describe animating uploaded images. We will record whether our start frame can be used at all, or whether only the text-to-video path is open to us.
